Made for your collection

Start with the feel. Refine the structure.

The character of knitwear comes from the relationship between yarn, structure and shape. Define each with a manufacturing partner who can review the collection as a whole.

01

Yarn development & sourcing

Explore yarn compositions, colours and tactile qualities against your target product. Availability, supplier minimums and development requirements are assessed for each project.

02

Texture & knit structure

Translate your stitch and texture references into a development brief. The partner confirms suitable construction options for the yarn and intended garment.

03

Sweaters & cardigans

Develop silhouettes, proportions, necklines and fastening details for your range. Sampling gives you a point to review fit, handle and appearance together.

04

Collection finishing

Coordinate labels, care information, trims and packaging requirements with the final garment specification and agreed commercial terms.

From reference to specification

Tell us how your knitwear should feel.

A useful knitwear brief combines the visual direction with the intended wear. Include close-up references where a texture or stitch is central to the design.

Discuss your project

Useful details to share

  1. Sweater or cardigan silhouette and measurements
  2. Preferred yarn composition and hand feel
  3. Texture, stitch and colour references
  4. Quantity per style and intended delivery period

Plan with confidence

A considered start.

Quantities, costs and sample arrangements are confirmed for your specific product by the manufacturing partner.

Flexible production

Minimums that fit the brief.

Some knitwear projects may be feasible from approximately 50 pieces. Yarn availability, colour development and knit construction can change the minimum. Orders of 100+ pieces may offer better unit economics.

Product development

Sample before you commit.

Sampling is used to review the agreed yarn, structure and silhouette before production approval. Complimentary samples may be offered to qualified commercial projects, subject to the partner’s approval.

A few useful answers

Before we begin.

Can you help source a particular yarn?

Yes, custom yarn requirements can be reviewed as part of product development. Share the composition, feel and visual result you want. The partner will confirm availability, practical alternatives and any yarn minimums before you commit.

Can I use my own knit or texture reference?

You can supply your own design or a reference image to communicate the intended structure and feel. The partner reviews its technical feasibility and develops the agreed specification through sampling. Only submit designs you have the right to use.

How is the production minimum determined?

It depends on the yarn, colour, garment construction and total quantity. A figure of approximately 50 pieces applies only to suitable projects; the quotation will confirm the minimum for your specific knitwear brief.
